Service

Modeling that holds up to regulatory review.

When a permit hinges on a model, defensible is everything. We deliver technically sound AERMOD analyses and reports built to withstand agency review.

How we work

Three steps. No guesswork.

Define

We pin down the regulatory requirements and modeling objectives before anything runs. Protocol comes first.

Perform

We execute the modeling with EPA-approved methodologies, site-specific meteorology, and terrain analysis.

Deliver

We package defensible technical reports built for regulatory review, and we defend them through approval.

What we do

Everything this engagement covers.

Field Report
Case Study: Steel Manufacturing, Alabama

Class II modeling for a major steel expansion

A major steel manufacturing facility in Alabama was undergoing a significant capacity expansion. SOLA modeled emissions from multiple new and modified sources using EPA's AERMOD system, incorporating site-specific meteorological data, complex terrain features, and nearby source interactions, then evaluated impacts against all applicable NAAQS and PSD increments.

  • Compliance demonstrated across all pollutants and averaging periods
  • PSD permit approved with no modeling-related conditions or delays
  • Approval secured before EPA lowered the annual PM2.5 standard, with little time to spare
